Uttarakhand is prone to natural disasters due to over-exploitation of natural resources and excess tourism, leading to increased frequency of earthquakes, landslides, floods, forest fires, and cloudbursts. The ITDA Dehradun and SDRF sought a solution for a mobile command center and drones to provide live feed and aid in disaster relief. A customized mobile van with high-end workstations, mapping software, and UAVs was proposed for Rs. 1 crore per van, with plans to replicate the project for all 13 districts of Uttarakhand.
